DOTA 2 system requirements

DOTA 2 system requirements

DOTA 2 system requirements for PC systems will be modest, since the DOTA 2 is built using the Source Engine. The aging Source game engine isn’t as demanding as more modern game engines. DOTA 2 will run even on older, single-core CPUs and on Windows XP. However, a more modern system is required for the best visual quality.

DOTA 2 system requirements (minimum)

  • CPU: 3 GHz single-core CPU, Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64
  • RAM: 1GB system memory
  • Graphics: DirectX 9 compatible card with 256 MB RAM, Nvidia 7-series or Radeon X1600-series or better.
  • Operating system: Windows XP
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • 4 GB of free hard disk space

DOTA 2 system requirements (recommended)

  • CPU: 3 GHz dual core processor, Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Phenom X2 or better
  • RAM: 2GB system memory, 4GB for 64-bit OS
  • Graphics: DirectX 11 compatible graphics card with 512 MB RAM, Nvidia GTX 460 or AMD 5850 or better.
  • Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
  • DirectX compatible sound card
  • 4 GB of free hard disk space
