Cheaters are never welcomed, no matter what. Especially in MMOs, where players are paying for the experience to play. NCsoft has announced that over 16,000 players from North America and Europe have been banned for not only using exploits, but for spamming other players with advertisements and, of course, gold farming, which is the thorn in the eye of every MMO.

The somewhat we–received MMO Aion, NCSofts latest in a long line of MMOs, has sold very well, despite the fact that it’s the first NCSoft MMO in a while to have a paid subscription service. The top 10 best selling PC games, according to NDP:
- Aion
- The Sims 3
- Champions Online
- World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Expansion Pack
- Aion Collector’s Ed
- Mumbo Jumbo Assortment
- The Sims 2 Double Deluxe
- World Of Warcraft: Battle Chest
- Reel Deal Slots Treasures Of The Far East
- World Of Warcraft
NCsoft’s upcoming MMO Aion (they make a lot of MMOs, in case you didn’t notice), will be getting a collector’s edition, like many other NCsoft MMO titles.
The Aion Collector’s Edition will include a figurine (pictured above) and the game’s soundtrack as well. Oh, and it’ll also come in a great looking box (also picture above), for $70. Pre-ordering the set will give players exclusive in-game items as well.

Those anticipating the release of Guild Wars 2, are in for some bad news. Apparently, during an investor finance briefing, NCsoft was quoted to have said that Guild Wars 2 won’t be out until 2010-2011. Bummer.
Joystiq notes that although the developer had to cut some staff and won’t be showing up at E3 this year, their game Aion sold remarkably well in Korea which leads us to believe that financial woes did not cause this delay.
