The Splinter Cell: Conviction and Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Elite bundles are pretty highly sought after considering they feature a 250GB hard drive and all the other bells and whistles of an Elite SKU. However, their price tag, $499.99, may keep the consoles out of the hands of some, if not most, gamers.
Luckily, Amazon.com is holding a deal that will drop $40 off that asking price, bringing the final price down to $359.99

Normally, Tekken 6 with the wireless fight stick is $150, a steep price that is hard to justify for a game with a fancy controller (unless you’re a hardcore fan, that is). Luckily, with the holidays just around the corner, Amazon.com has gone ahead and dropped the price (for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 version) from $150 to $77.99 a saving of right around $72.
Make note that Tekken 6 itself retails for $60, just like any other game, so you’re getting the Hori manufactured fight stick for under $20. Now that sound’s like a deal to me.

Sony has recently announced via the Playstation Blog that they will be teaming up with Amazon.com to offer Playstation Network content on the retailer’s website.
This means that you will be able to purchase games such as Flower, PAIN, Pixel Junk Eden, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo and WipEout Pure on Amazon.com and then you will be given a code to redeem on your Playstation 3.
We’re not exactly sure of the benefits of such a partnership other than there being another place to digitally buy your games at but this also opens up a whole new door for gift ideas.
Having recently announced that the Xbox 360 Elite would be getting a price cut to $299, it would only make sense that Microsoft would then announce a new, higher end model.
Well, it seems that a recent listing on Amazon.de (Germany’s Amazon) has notified us of just that, an Xbox 360 with a 250GB hard drive, Forza Motorspot 3 and 2 wireless controllers all for the price of €280 or about $379.
While the listing has since been pulled, I think it’s safe to assume that Microsoft will announce an Xbox 360 Uber Elite leading up to Forza Motorsport 3‘s October 27th release date.

It seems that Amazon is following Walmart’s example and holding a sale except this time it’s a bit different, Amazon is discounting games you actually care about.
This is a apparantly a father’s day sale and includes Xbox 360 games and Wii and PS3 accessories. While you won’t be getting these games for $20 a piece they do have Call of Duty 4 for $29.99, CoD: WaW for $41.97 and Halo Wars for $41.99.
While some buyers are sure to purchase one or two of these games for Dad, I think I’ll be picking a couple 2-3 up for myself.

What would a game be now-a-days if pre-orderers didn’t get some sort of bonus? It would probably be fine, but Activision evidentally didn’t want to take the chance.
It was recently announced that those who pre-order Prototype from GameStop will recieve Alex Mercer (the game’s main character) in action figure form and a map/poster.
Those who pre-order it from GameGrazy will recieve a hardcover book that includes different illustrations based on ingame characters, enemies, and locations.
And finally, those who pre-order Prototype from Amazon will receieve an exclusive comic based on the game put together by Wild Storm.
So what are you waiting for? You have three option, choose wisely.

If you’re looking to snag a few games but dont’ want to pay retail price, head over to Amazon’s Gold Box as they have apparently devoted an entire day of deals to just games.
So far Warriors Orochi 2, Rock Band 2, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Buzz! Master Quiz have been thrown in the Gold Box and quickly snatched up. However, there are still 3 more time slots that Amazon has left to reveal with just clues to what they might be:
Get your PlayStation 3 out of Vault 101 at 3:00 PM
Get into the zone with your PlayStation 3 at 5:00 PM
Go on tour with your PlayStation 2 6:00 PM
Any idea what they might be? If you just can’t stand the suspense, Shaun White’s Snowboarding for the Wii is up as the Deal of the Day with a discounted price of $29.98.

It seems Amazon.com is taking a step in the right direction having recently announced the addition of Xbox Live virtual content of all shapes and sizes to their online inventory.
This is good news for Xbox 360 owners who aren’t fond of the Microsoft Points system as you are able to buy not only Xbox Live subscriptions but also Xbox Live Arcade titles with actual money, not Microsoft Points.
You can check out Amazon’s current offerings here.
