Nintendo’s legendary game designer Shigeru Miyamoto has won the prestigious Fellowship Award at BAFTA, which they describe as “the highest accolade the Academy can bestow on an individual for their creative work.”. We agree. Congrats, Miyamoto!

BAFTA, the Oscars of the United Kingdom (sort of), have announced the nominees in the video game category, and the most important one, “Best Game”, the nominees were Batman, Assassin’s Creed II, Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Uncharted 2, and FIFA 2009. We dunno about you, but we have a feeling Uncharted 2 kinda leads the pack.
