Way back in the beginning of January EA officially confirmed that they would be rebooting the NBA Jam franchise. However, up until now we hadn’t heard much about the game. Luckily, EA has just released the game’s first debut trailer giving us a pretty in-depth look at the gameplay.

NBA Jam will be out for the Wii sometime this fall.

Those of you with an Xbox Live Gold membership can now log on and download the NCAA Basketball 10 demo as it was just released today. Alternatively those of you who have a Silver membership will be able to get it on November 12th while PS3 owners will be able to get it on November 19th.

And for those of you who just want the retail game well, that will be out on November 18th.

2K Sports has recently let us know that they will be releasing a pre-release character creation feature for NBA 2K10 entitled NBA 2K10 Draft Combine.

Essentially what this is is a series of mini-games that will allow take their created characters and run through different drills to boost their stats and prepare them for the actual game.

NBA 2K10 Draft Combine will be released over Xbox Live and PSN this September for 400 Microsoft Points or $5 respectively. The actual game, NBA 2K10, however will hit store shelves for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii and PC on October 6th of this year.

EA Sports has recently been kind enough to give us the first video insight of their forthcoming basketball title, NBA Live 10.

As you can see from the trailer, NBA Live 10 will feature beautiful graphics, amazing physics and true-to-the-game gameplay.

Expect NBA Live 10 for the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and mobile platforms in October of this year.

EA Sports is in full swing releasing all of the sports games they can, Fight Night Round 4, Madden 10, NHL 10 and now NBA Live 10. However, previous to now EA had kept both the cover and cover athelete under wraps.

As you can see above, Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has gotten the honor of gracing the latest installment’s cover. Howard gave the following statement after the announcement:

“It’s an honor to be named as the cover athlete for NBA LIVE 10. This year has been a crazy ride and this is a cool way to cap it off. Of course – there is one more thing I’m on the hunt for that would complete it.”

I wonder what he’s on the hunt for? Maybe a final victory over the Lakers? Oh yeah.

Looking to continue your virtual NCAA Basketball career? Ok good because EA has recently announced that a special editon of NCAA Basketball 09 will be released exclusively on Xbox Live.

Entitled NCAA Basketball 09: March Madnes Edition the game will give players the opportunity to play through the NCAA tournament in all of it’s single elimination glory.

The games Producer, Connor Dougan, had the following to say about the game:

“We really wanted to make our game available to a wider selection of fans that are drawn to college basketball by the passion, excitement and drama that surrounds March Madness. Fans will be able to experience the tournament, feel the adrenaline rush that comes with a single loss elimination tournament and write their own history.”

NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition will be available on Xbox Live March 11th for 1200 Microsoft Points. Sorry PS3 owners, this is an exclusive.
