Square Enix is known for several hard hitting game franchises most notable Final Fantasy, however, most of their titles aren’t very violent. Luckily, they will be launching a new games label entitled Extreme Edges that will feature more “violent” games, marketeed towards the western market. Because everyone knows those violent games.
Anyways, The Lost Gamer says that Kane & Lynch 2 in addition to Activision’s Singularity and Blur (which are published by Square in Japan) will be the first titles to bear the Extreme Edges label.

Back in February we let you know that the Blur demo would be made available to the public at some point in March. However, it was just made known that the beta is available now. So, if you’re looking to try the game out before youb uy it you can grab the Blur demo on Xbox Live.
It’s free, so why not?

Bizzare Creation’s Blur was announced way back in May of last year and we haven’t heard much of it since. Now, Activision’s CEO Mike Griffith has let us know that a multiplayer beta for the game will be made available at some point next month.
No details on the contents of the beta or what consoles it will be released for but we do know that Blur will be made available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 later this year.

It looks like Modern Warfare 2 isn’t the only game Glu will be developing for mobile handses as it was recently announced that the studio will also get their hands on Blur, Guitar Hero 5, and Tony Hawk: Ride.
There are absolutely no details regarding gameplay for any of these games but we do know that they will be released this year for Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile, and Java-based handsets.
Anyone excited? I still don’t understand why they aren’t releasing these games for the iPhone.
