The sequel to the critically acclaimed and popular RTS Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War will have a beta this month, as promised by publisher THQ.

The beta will be available through Steam and will be exclusive to owners of Dawn of War: Soulstorm on January 21, followed by a worldwide release on January 28.

All four races will be playable in the beta, which will feature four multiplayer maps as well. The game is scheduled for release on February 20.

THQ has released the system requirements for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. They are not too demanding at all, compared to some of the more beefier games out there today. The game will hit shelves on February 27, 2009 for the PC.
