Nintendo has long been one of the most successful video game companies on the market. This success can easily be seen with the Nintendo Wii which took a large lead over Microsof’ts Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3. However, Nintendo isn’t looking to ride on the success of the Wii forever as they’ve already come forth to announce the Wii U and release the Nintendo 3DS.
While the Wii U won’t be out for quite some time the Nintendo 3DS has been on the market for quite some time. Unfortunately though, the 3D display touting portable hasn’t given Nintendo the same success they’ve seen with previous releases like the Wii and Nintendo DS. Due to this, NIntendo came forth not too long ago to announce that they would be dropping the price tag of the Nintendo 3DS.
To make the deal even sweeter, Walmart has come forth today to let us know that they are stocking the Nintendo 3DS for just $169.99. Now, you may be thinking: “isn’t this the same price drop that Nintendo announced not too long ago?”. Yes, but the official Nintendo price cut wasn’t set to go into effect until August 12th. Check out Walmart’s listing for the discounted portable here.

As you’re sure to know March 27th marks the day where Nintendo finally brings the highly sought after Nintendo 3DS to the United States. Gamers everywhere are scrambling to get their hands on the glasses-free 3D display touting mobile handheld looking to put it through the paces. However, seeing how the Nintendo 3DS itself retails for $250 it may be hard to get cash together to actually purchase a library of games for the console.
Luckily, Kmart hsa just announced today that they will be offering consumers a deal regarding the Nintendo 3DS. If you purchase the console from Kmart, they will give you $25 off the purchase of a Nintendo 3DS game. This means you will essentially be able to grab the 3DS and a brand new game for for around $265. Not too bad considering brand new 3DS games retail for $39.99 a pop. However, make note that this promotion runs from March 27th to April 2nd so make sure you get down on it fast.
Have you purchased a Nintendo 3DS? If so, how are you liking it?

Sony’s PlayStation 3 remains one of the most popular home video game consoles on the market today despite stark competition from Microsoft with the Xbox 360 and Nintendo with the Wii. However, if you’re looking to go for the highest end bundle chances are you’ll be breaking the bank a bit. Luckily various retailers have been known to cut us a break from time to time making the price tag of products like this.

THQ and Kaos Studios recently came forth on March 15th to release Homefront. If you’re not aware this first person shooter pits gamers against a North Korean invasion of the United States. If you’re one who is looking to get down on the game but dont’ want to spend the full $60 – you’re in luck.

I’m sure you, much like me, are a video game addict. While fulfilling this craving with the latest titles is a very satisfying one, it can also be quite expensive. First you’ve got the $200+ console, then the $50+ games and then, if you’re looking to get fancy you’ve got the motion control peripherals like the PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect which will both run you a pretty penny. Luckily, some online retailers like Amazon.com have been known to cut us gamers a deal and today seems to be no different.
Amazon.com has just announced today that they will be giving those who purchase a PlayStation 3 video game console from them before March 12th will receive a $50 Amazon gift certificate. While there are many different video game genres on the market the first person shooter genre is one of the most popular. As yuo’re sure to know, games like Call of Duty and Halo have largely dominated this sector for some time. Luckily, there are many other fully capable competitors on the market such as Epic Games’ recently released Bulletstorm.
The game has created some controversy for including suggestive material which may turn off parents, but to us gamers the name of the game is the more controversy the better. controversy If you’ve seen virtually any marketing material for Bulletstorm you’ll probably know that the makers are touting the fact that it’s not a Call of Duty game pretty highly even going so far as to release a parody title dubbed Duty Calls.
Anyways, if you haven’t yet gotten down on Bulletstorm and want to do so make note that Amazon has just dropped the price tag of the game down to $40 for today only. Get on it!

Amazon.com has been known to hold various promotions that sees the price tag of highly sought after products get dropped significantly. Video games are no different as they have time and time again appeared in Amazon’s Gold Box deal-of-the-day. In fact, just today Amazon.com has posted their Gold Box deal as Dead Space 2.
While the PS3 version has already sold out, the deal still sees the price of both the Xbox 360 and PC dropped to $39.99 and $39.95. If you’re looking to get fancy, Amazon also offers the Collector’s Edition for $59.95 – a very enticing deal considering the regular game usually retails for this same price. PS3 owners will also want to make note of the Collector’s Edition deal as this version of the game has yet to sell out.
If you’re looking to get down on this do so fast because as soon as the day or stock runs out, the deal will expire.

The Nintendo Wii introduced to us motion control in the form of a home game console. The success of the Wii is what many have said is the reason for Sony and Microsoft to develop the Playstation Move and Kinect, respectively.
Well, love it or hate it there is no denying the fact that the Nintendo Wii has a pretty hefty library of exclusive titles some classic and some not. One classic franchise that Nintendo holds is Metroid with the latest title being Metroid: Other M. While you would normally be forced to pay full price for this game, everyone’s favorite online retailer Amazon.com has put the game up for just $20.
However, there is a catch as the deal is only good until 6PM EST leaving about 1 hour 20 minutes since the time of this posting to get down on the deal.
