DigitalBattle is growing fast as a source of off-beat, interesting gaming news that otherwise might not be covered by the mainstream gaming media. We’re now actively looking for writers and contributors to the site, both in news, editorials, and opinion pieces as well.

Requirements: pretty good (like, very good) English reading and writing skills, preferably with some experience writing for others sites. You have to be 18+ years of age to apply. You have to know the ins and outs of the gaming biz, and of course, you have to be an avid gamer. Preferably with a sense of humor.

Hi all!

DigitalBattle is new, and we’re still finding our ways here, finding our voice, and trying to figure out which direction to take the new site in. So far we’ve been covering the shooter genre (FPS etc.), but we’re thinking of taking the site into a new direction.

We’re thinking of covering the culture aspect of gaming, the off-beat news, the weird rumors and updates, the not-so-serious stuff. What do you guys think? Let us know!

DigitalBattle is today celebrating its 5th anniversary. It’s been a wild ride over the past five years, we’ve covered all sorts of gaming related news, written hundreds of reviews, 16,658 posts, with 28,700 comments left by our users.

We’d like to take this moment and thank all our readers out there, some of which have been with us from day one. Thanks for your support over the years, thanks for visiting the site, and for all your thoughts.

We’ll be continuing our coverage of gaming news. When we started out, this generation consoles, the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, just launched, and now, with the upcoming Wii 2, we’re looking forward to covering the next generation consoles and PC games.

As you may have noticed over the past few days, we’ve introduced a new version of DigitalBattle, version 5 — our prettiest yet. DigitalBattle was launched back in 2006, and we’ve since posted some 14,800 posts. Let us know what you think of the new layout, and what else you’d like to see on the site!

We’ve passed a rather big milestone here at DigitalBattle today; we’ve posted over 10,000 news articles! DigitalBattle.com launched 3 years ago (our third anniversary is next month), and we’ve been posting about game news, reviews, articles and everything game related ever since.
