While not exactly groundbreaking by any means, the opening cinematic for the Wii exclusive, Disaster: Day of Crisis is effective non the less. I’m also fairly certain that this is the first time that there has been any “in engine” footage. The game is out in Japan, and the American release date has yet to have been announced.

Remember that amazing looking game that Nintendo gave a brief glance of during their 2006 E3 press conference? The one that showed that, at least back then, Nintendo truly cared about a balance in casual as well as core titles? A little game called Disaster: Day of Crisis, which until August, was feared to have been canceled? Well to ease anyone’s concern, the game is still going to come out, and if this new trailer, is any indication, it will still be a solid title. The trailer includes a lot of new footage. There is, however, no actual gameplay, just more cut scenes.
