The Nintendo Wii and DS have been on store shelves for some time now but that doesn’t mean sales have ceased. In fact, Nintendo has just sent out press release stating theat they have sold 1.9 million consoles in January and February of this year alone.
And, if you’ll remember, Nintendo is set to launch the DSi XL on March 28th of this month which will translate into even more sales for the company.
Looks like Nintendo isn’t facing any financial woes.

It’s been quite some time since we saw the unveiling of the DSiXL but Nintendo has yet to give us a North American release date and/or price for the device. If you weren’t aware, the DSiXL is exactly what it sounds like, an extra large Nintendo DSi.
Anyways, Nintendo has finally released word about it’s North American availability and it is set to drop on March 28th of this year for a none-too-bad $189.99.
For those waiting for a DS2, the XL will most likely be Nintendo’s last iteration of the DS as a DS2 with motion sensing is rumored to be in testing.
