In this day and age gamers are doing everything they can to gain an edge over one another. Unfortunately many times this means cheating in one form or another be it exploiting an in game glitch or using a modified console. In first person shooter games in particular this seems to happen more often than not and Crytek’s recently released Crysis 2 seems to be no different.

Luckily, Crytek seems to be jumping on this problem sooner rather than later releasing a statement today that they are doing what they can to not only eliminate the exploits that give some gamers an unfair advantage while also penalizing the players that actually choose to utilize these exploits.

So folks, in a nutshell, don’t cheat on Crysis 2 or else Crytek will find you and it won’t be pretty.

It was recently reported on Major Nelson’s blog that Microsoft has found and delt with a new batch of cheaters. Their offense? Using an exploit within Gears of War 2 to artificially boost their Gamerscores. Their sentence? A Gamerscore of 0.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has had to step in to thwart cheaters in their attempt at a high Gamerscore. If you’ve been with us since March of last year, you’ll recognize a similar case.

Major Nelson also assures us that if you use ethical methods of obtaining your achievements, as in no cheating or glitching, you have nothing to worry about; your Gamerscore will not get reset accidentally.

Exploit, one of the newest games on Kongregate, is a mind-bending puzzler with peculiar social ramifications.

You play as a white hat (otherwise known as good guy) hacker who’s decided to take on a totalitarian regime all by his onesies, breaking into their computer systems and trying to find out what’s really going on inside the tiny little dictatorship.  The deeper in you go, the more difficult the systems are to hack, and the more you find out about the little country.

The biggest problem I have is that the puzzles are spectacularly difficult after even a few rounds–it took me three or four tries to solve the last puzzle on the tutorial level, which should say something about the game itself.  But if you want a real brain-buster of a puzzle game, then you’ll get everything you ever wanted and then some out of Exploit.
