EA Sports line up of different sports titles have long been regarded as some of the best sports simulators on the market. Fight Night is no different being regarded as the go-to boxing franchise applauded for its realistic gameplay, graphics and control scheme. However, while the Fight Night franchise is regarded as one o the best, it doesn’t exactly follow a storyline which should come as no surprise considering it’s a boxing simulator.
However, EA Sports has just released the official trailer for Fight Night Champion which we’ve included for you above. As you can see, this new title will feature an actual plot that includes prison, bare knuckle fighting and the works.
I don’t know about you guys but I’m definitely liking what I’m seeing. Will you pick up Fight Night Champion when it drops for the PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 1st?
Not too long ago the official box art for EA Sports’ upcoming Fight Night Round 4 was revealed to the public and now we have our hands on the first official gameplay footage.
Included above is said footage featuring all sorts of epic music along with real game play footage featuring Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson dukin’ it out.
Fight Night Round 4 is expected to ship for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this summer. Also, expect demos on both consoles at some point in the not-too-distant future.
We just learned today that both Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson would appear on the cover of Fight Night Round 4 and already more information regarding the game has been uncovered.
Buried within the official press release announcing the duos cover appearence is the announcement that GameStop is yet again offering pre-orderers the chance to play the game’s demo before everyone else.
This isn’t the first time GameStop has done this, another example being them offering early access to the Killzone 2 demo. Oh well, at least they finally have some competition in the used games market.
If you didn’t know, EA gave everyonea chance to vote on who they wanted on the cover Fight Night Round 4, Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson, at www.AliorTyson.com.
Well, it seems that the ballots were just too close to pick a winner so EA decided to slap both boxing titans onto the cover, pictured above.
Tyson had this to say about the decision:
“I’m honored to be on the cover of Fight Night Round 4 with Ali. He was a special champ, and I have the highest respect for him as a person and a fighter. People always ask me if I think I would have beaten Ali if I had the chance to fight him when we were both in our prime. Now you can figure it out for yourselves. Fight Night puts you right in that ring and gives you the gloves to settle the score.”
Fight Night Round 4 is currently under development over at EA Canada and is expected to ship for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 this summer.
Forming independent studio Robomodo are 27 veterans of the once-dissolved team from Fight Night and Def Jam developer EA Chicago.
Robomodo president and unannounced game director Josh Tui revealed this to Gamasutra, noting that they are currently working on a “high profile extreme sports title” for Activision Blizzard. The publisher is yet to formally announce the game.
Members of the team who stayed back at EA were relocated to EA Canada, developing FaceBreaker and presumably working on a fourth installment in the Fight Night series.
