If you’ve been looking to pick up a Street Fighter IV FightStick but haven’t been able to justify the high price tag, you’re in luck. Buy.com has just announced that they will be discounting the PS3 version of the controller to $29.99. Additionally, if you’re looking to go a bit more hardcore, they have the Tournament Edition FightStick up for $119.99, a nice saving.
I don’t know about you guys but I prefer a controller over these FightSticks any day. Maybe I need to actually use them some more. What do you think?
Edit: It seems the FightSticks are out of stock, bummer. Let’s hope they hold this promotion again once it’s back in stock.

Amazon has recently thrown the the limited edition of Tekken 6, which includes a wireless fight stick and art book, up for pre-order at $149.99 for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. If Amazon isn’t your favorite retailer don’t fret as companies such as GameStop have also put the $149.99 bundle up for pre-order.
Tekken 6 will be the franchise’s first major title for the current generation consoles and includes a rather large roster of characters at 42. As for a release date, well, you’ll be seeing both the standalone Tekken 6 along with the above mentioned bundle hit store shelves for the PS3 and 360 on October 27th, 2009.

Despite a small number of displeased buyers, MadCatz’ Street Fighter IV branded FightSticks have managed to fly off the shelves. In fact, these controllers sold so fast a number of orders were left unfilled.
Well, Capcom has issued a statement saying the problem is being addressed and MadCatz will increase production to meet demand. In fact, Capcom expects existing orders to be filled when more of these controllers ship by the end of next month.
Let’s hope this means that these new units will be completely free of any problems. Although, the problem apparently wasn’t as big as everyone made it out to be.

MadCatz has recently taken the time to address the community, saying that the problem with defective FightSticks is not as wide spread as originally thought.
MadCatz’s Alex Verry had this to say about the problem:
We have shipped tens of thousands of standard Arcade FightSticks. I can assure you, the number of consumers who have actually contacted us with this issue numbers well under 50 to date.
So there you have it, while they have admitted to a problem it’s apparently a very small one. Verry also suggests that you call MadCatz if you do so happen to have an effective FightStick before trying to repair it yourself as it may void the warranty.

I don’t know about your experiences with MadCatz, but I’ve owned a few N64 Racing Wheels, countless controllers, and a PS2 DDR pad all manufactured by MadCatz, and I must say, they all sucked.
It looks like MadCatz is continuing their traditional of making garbage gaming peripherals as Joystiq readers are reporting that their StreetFighter IV FightSicks aren’t working like they should.
MadCatz, however, said to Joystiq that it’s normal a few (read: a lot) peripherals are defective. They are even urging owners of defective sticks to call MadCatz for repair.
At least you’re trying MadCatz, at least you’re trying.
