As you’re sure to know the recent natural disasters that went down in Japan have really shaken up a lot of industries. The video game industry has felt the hurt from the quake as well as several companies have been forced to suspend various services. Square Enix, for one, announced that they would be taking down the servers for both Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIV in lieu of the destruction.

Luckily, for those craving their online play time, it was just announced today that Square Enix will be rebooting the servers for both of these popular MMOs on Friday March 25th.

On a larger scope an important note to take away from this announcement is the fact that Japan is on its way to recovery. It will be a long and perilous road but lets hope we hear of more Japan-based companies resuming business as usual as times goes on.
