Sure, it’s the old Xbox 360, the noisy, hot one, but you can get it for only $250 on Amazon, and that includes a copy of Final Fantasy XIII. Not a bad deal.

The Splinter Cell: Conviction and Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 Elite bundles are pretty highly sought after considering they feature a 250GB hard drive and all the other bells and whistles of an Elite SKU. However, their price tag, $499.99, may keep the consoles out of the hands of some, if not most, gamers.

Luckily, Amazon.com is holding a deal that will drop $40 off that asking price, bringing the final price down to $359.99

Check the FFXIII Bundle here and the Splinter Cell Bundle, here.

While the Xbox 360 has sold a lot more than the PS3, one game’s PS3 version is outselling the Xbox 360′s version by 2 and that is Final Fantasy XIII. If you’re wondering the specifics, the PS3 version sold 828,000 copies while the Xbox 360 version sold 493,000.

A contributing reason to these statistics is probably the fact that the Xbox 360 version comes on 3 DVDs while the PS3 version comes on just 1 Blu-ray disc.

When is that Xbox 360 Blu-ray add-on coming, again?

Final Fantasy XIII has just made its way onto shelves but only for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. If you’re looking to take the game in your pocket say, on an iPhone, you’re out of luck. However, Square Enix does have a FFXIII iPhone app for you but it’s not what you think, instead it’s a high resolution photo grallery.

Entitled the Final Fantasy XIII Larger-Than-Life Gallery the $8.99 app will give ou a bunch of exclusive images from Final Fantasy XIII. In addition to that it’s got an FFXIII branded clock and calculator. Sounds cool, I guess, but $8.99? No way.

The announcement that the latest Final Fantasy would not be exclusive to the PS3 had Sony fanboys everywhere disappointed. However, those with Sony’s precious console won’t be getting completely shafted as as the Final Fantasy XIII launch party, Son’y Rob Dyer took center stage to announce some exclusive content for the PS3 version.

This content is both a secret in-game item for the forthcoming Final Fantasy XIV and a chance at a key for the FFXIV beta. Just a chance? Come on Sony, you can do better than that.

It seems that un boxing the Collector’s Edition of your latest game is all the rage, and Square Enix is hoppin’ on board with Final Fantasy XIII. Of course, instead of giving one of their employees 20 bucks to unbox the thing on video they created an elaborate, yet short, virtual unboxing of the Collector’s Edition.

Unfortunately there is no information as to the contents of the pack but we can definitely make out some artwork booklets and perhaps even the sound track.

We just got word that the PS3 would be getting a series of updates that would give if 3D functionality which must have developers paying attention. The first of such developers to speak up is Square Enix regarding Final Fantasy XIII. As of now, the game is not 3D, but the idea is intriguing to Square Enix.

FFXIII producer Yoshinori Kitase comments:

“We don’t know how possible it is to build the game in 3D but we are interested in it. In fact, we have already created a 3D Final Fantasy XIII trailer, which is currently showing in Japanese cinemas alongside the film Avatar. Currently, that’s only available in Japan, but there might be an opportunity for a wider release in the future.”

3D is awesome and all, but will it catch on? I mean honestly, who the hell has a 3D TV anyways?

The Final Fantasy XIII soundtrack has yet to be announced in the United States but already Square Enix is speaking of a somewhat collector’s edition for Japan. By collector’s edition I mean that 8 songs from Final Fantasy XIII will appear on a 12-inch vinyl record, old school style.

The records, entitled W/F: Music from Final Fantasy XIII are apparently very limited in production and importer NCSX has already sold out of them. There’s no word if we will see this limited edition release in the US with the actual soundtrack but chances are we won’t.
