In case you’re itching for a bargain, Steam is offering Race Driver: GRID for a nice 50% off its regular price, bringing the total down to a nice $14.99.
A sequel for GRID will also be coming out this September, so if you want to take a look at the series before you buy it for the full retail price, this is probably a good idea.
Personally, I have played the game and found it to be one of the better racing experiences of this generation. You can grab the download over at the Steam Store, however, the offer will only be available for the weekend.
Quite a few new bits of content is now available for GRID, the racing simulator by Codemasters. The DLC includes eight new “top-spec” cars and two new multiplayer events that are now available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game; PC gamers will get in on the action later.
The content is priced at 800 Microsoft points ($10) and also offers four new achievements for the Xbox 360 version. New cars include the McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Honda S2000, Nissan GT-R, VW Nardo, Pontiac Firebird Trans AM and the Volvo C30.
Details of the PC release is promised “shortly” by Codemasters.
