Killing Floor will be seeing some new downloadable content, as revealed today by the game’s developer Tripwire Interactive. First, a free DLC package titled “Heavy Metal” will be released, featuring a new map called the “Foundry” and two new weapons; the classic AK-47 and a Japanese Katana Sword.

Tripwire also mentioned that they are planning a paid DLC for the zombie FPS, which will feature four new playable characters, two of which are “a Horzine foundry worker and a soldier in prototype Horzine body armor.”

Right now, Killing Floor is only available via Steam, where it competes with fellow zombie shooter Left 4 Dead. For people who can’t handle the bandwidth, the game will be available in stores worldwide soon.
