Killzone 3 has yet to be officially confirmed but considering the hype surrounding Killzone 2, it’s pretty much a no brainer that Guerilla Games would go on to release a sequel. Well, those looking to soak up every bit of information about the continuation of the Killzone franchise will be happy to hear that the Official PlayStation Magazine has went on record as saying that details of the game will be coming soon.
But that’s not all as OPM has also said that the game could potentially see a reveal at this year’s E3 if development goes as planned.

Killzone 2 only just hit store shelves earlier this year and just now reports are coming to light that says Killzone 3 is already in development.
News comes to us from the Official Playstation Magazine who says Killzone 3 is to be one of Guerilla Games‘ secret projects for 2010 and is under heavy development over at the studio.
Just how much stock should you put into this report? Well, the Official Playstation Magazine is pretty credible considering the obvious but Killzone 2 took 4 years to get onto store shelves so I think it’s safe to say we will be seeing a delay, or two.

Not long ago, we reported that the new Killzone 2 DLC would be hitting the PlayStation Network today. The DLC, titled Napalm & Cordite, includes Suljeva Cliffside and Arctown Landing multiplayer maps.
It also turns out that a new Map Pack will also be seeing release today, featuring six multiplayer maps from every DLC released so far; Steel & Titanium, Flash & Thunder and Napalm & Cordite. As for true Killzone fans who already have the DLC, the map pack doesn’t have anything you already don’t have.
The Map Pack Bundle retails for $11.99 in the States and £9.99 for Europe.

Last week we were given the first look at Killzone 2‘s forthcoming Napalm & Cordite DLC pack. Today, we have now know that said DLC pack will be headed to the PSN next Thursday, July 23rd.
For those who haven’t been paying attention, this pack will include the Suljeva Cliffside and Arctown Landing multiplayer maps along with VC1 Flamethrower and Boltgun 440 weapons, also for multiplayer use.
Unfortunately, it was also made known that the new weapons will only be useable on the maps included in the pack. Bummer.

Just as rumors had suggested, Best Buy has begun offering an 80GB Playstation 3 bundle that will include both Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
Priced at $399.99, just as I said yesterday, this bundle will be very enticing for want-to-be PS3 owners waiting for Sony to lower the price. But wait, what if Sony does lower the price? Or what if they release the PS3 slim?
You can check out the bundle over at Best Buy, here.

If the above pictures are anything to go by, Best Buy is gearing up to launch a 80GB PS3 bundle that will include both Killzone 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4.
According to Joystiq, Best Buy employees have confirmed the bundle to be real and that it will feature a $399 price point just like the normal 80GB system. This is quite the enticing deal to those who have yet to purchase a PS3 and are looking to.
Perhaps Sony is looking to push more PS3s out the door to make way for a cheaper model. Or perhaps, the PS3 slim?
