THQ and Russian developer 4A Games have announced a new DLC called “Ranger Pack”, which will be released next week. It’s not as much of a DLC as it’s just an option to play in “ranger mode”, where enemies are tougher and ammo and resources are less frequent. The new “DLC” will cost $3.
Metro 2033 developer 4A Games has said they’ve almost wrapped up development on DLC for their successful post-apocalyptic game, and will unveil it next week. No details on the DLC were released, so it could be anything from new items and guns to new levels. We hope it’s a bit of everything. Check out our Metro 2033 review here.
There aren’t many DirectX 11 games out there, as the DX11 hardware penetration still isn’t large enough, however, luckily more and more games are getting DX11 support, and that includes the upcoming Metro 2033. Developer 4A Games revealed that their 4A Engine supports a number of DX11 features, but we kinda still can’t help but noticing that the game still looks a lot like STALKER.
All great games get a limited edition version as well, and even some mediocre game to as well. But we can’t really say which one is Metro 2033, only that a Limited Edition has been announced for the game, which includes an exclusive in-game weapon: a formidable automatic shotgun. In addition, you’ll find four art cards featuring artwork by Russian artist Anton Grechko, the main art designer for the game. Four art cards? What happened to the art books? And the soundtracks? Hmm…
Here’s what’s definitely going to be the deal of the day: THQ has announced a great offer on Steam, where if you pre-order the upcoming Metro 2033, you’ll get Red Faction Guerrilla for free. That’s right, free!
The upcoming shooter Metro 2033, somewhat STALKER inspired (at least in looks), has received official box art, which you can see above. The game will be released later this Spring.
THQ has announced a post-apocalyptic shooter titled Metro 2033. The game is based on a Russian novel of the same name, written by Dmitry Glukhovsky.
The game will be developed by Ukrainian stdio 4A Games, and is set in Moscow after an all-out nuclear war, where survivors are fighting mutants and other beasts. THQ did not announce a release date for the game, but Fall 2010 seems like viable time for some post apocalyptic action.
