Valve is one of the most influential game developers on the market today largely thanks to their highly successful Half-Life franchise. However, they have many different games on the market that have been causing waves including Counter-Strike and Left 4 Dead. However, the release date for one of their highly anticipated games is quickly approaching and that is none other than Portal 2. While just about everything to be known is known about the game, there is still information coming out despite it having an April 19th release date.
Today, the information that was made known probably won’t come as as a good thing to many consumers – specifically those who have a PlayStation 3. The reason I said this is because Valve has just let us know that there will be no keyboard & mouse support for the PS3 version of Portal 2. Of coruse, this won’t come as too much of a shocker to those who are partial to game controllers but everyone knows that FPS gamers were meant to be played with a keyboard and mouse.
Are you getting Portal 2?

Dedicated console gamers may stick to their roots and say that their controllers of choice are the best but PC gamers are whistling to a much different tune. While controllers for consoles like the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 may designed from the ground up with gaming in mind the precision can’t really compare to that of a keyboard and mouse combo.
Luckily, if you’re one who wants to use their keyboard/mouse with the Xbox 360, you’re abe to do so thanks to products like the XIM3 adapter. Priced at a somewhat lofty $149.99, the XIM3 will give gamers the ability to seamlessly utilize a wide array of otherwise unsupported peripherals with Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
Anyways, the reason I’m telling you this is because just today the XIM3 went up for sale only to quickly sell out not long after. Luckily, if you’re still looking to get down on the product they have put up a page where you can leave your email and be notified as soon as more stock is made available.

While consoles like the Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 have become quite popular, there are still legions of highly dedicated PC gamers in the community. For those gamers, there is a wide array of different accessories to make their time fragging as effective and enjoyable as can be. However, what Shogun Bros. have come forth to put on display is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
As you can see from the above picture, at first glance the Chameleon X-1 Gaming Mouse looks like nothing more than a traditional mouse. Flip it over and you can see that it’s got a fully functional game pad embedded on the underside of the device. However, just because it features this innovative aspect doesn’t mean the makers have skimped on the hardware. Apparantly, this 2.4GHz wirelesss mouse features a 5-stage adjustable 1600dpi optical sensor and a 125MHz polling rate.
Sounds pretty good to me, what about you? Unfortunately, there is no word on a ship date or price point but we’ll keep you posted as soon as we get word.

Logitech has always supported serious PC gaming. During the years hardcore gamers have chosen its mice and keyboards, its headsets and so much more. And after the G13 gameboard filled with buttons, Logitech has created various new peripherals which will support any game you decide to play.
First of all we have the new G19 keyboard which features a 320 x 240 color LCD and 12 G-keys which can have up to three macros assigned to each. The G19 will cost $199.
You might want to bundle that with the $129 G35 which is a 7.1 surround-sound headset with integrated voice morphing options. And last but not least we have the G9 mouse or the G9x which will get you a maximum DPI of 5000. The G9x will cost $99 and it will arrive in April following the G35 and G19 which will be launched this March.

If you’ve been looking to get your Halo 3 on by means of a mouse and keyboard, but haven’t found any way to do so, the day of reckoning has arrived.
Ok, so it’s not official, and it does cost $180, but it theoretically will allow you to play any of your favorite Xbox 360 games with a mouse and keyboard.
Entitled the XIM 2, all it basically is, is a modified Xbox 360 controller that allows you to plug in a mouse and keybord. Now common Microsoft (or third parties), you don’t want some sketchy hacker extorting gamers with a peice of hardware you could sell for $30, do you?

If you happen to play World of Warcraft on a Mac and you’d also like to get one of those SteelSeries MMO gaming mice then you will need to wait to actually use it. You can either switch to Windows or wait for Mac drivers to arrive.
Yes, that’s right, the SteelSeries new mouse doesn’t have Mac drivers which means you won’t be able to customize all the 15 buttons it has to offer. Mac drivers are said to be on the way but who knows how long that way actually is. In the mean time Mac users will have to level up without being able to map their favorite spells on that new gaming mouse.
