EA’s NCAA Basketball series appears to be dead for now. According to a recent interview, an EA spokesperson stated that no NCAA Basketball game was in development, and that no games are planned either. This comes as no surprise, as NCAA games have always been far outsold by the NBA counterparts, and have always been a niche title. Even 2K Sports stopped development of NCAA College Hoops after 2007.

Fans will be able to experience the tournament, feel the adrenaline rush that comes with a single loss elimination tournament and write their own history.”

NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition will be available on Xbox Live March 11th for 1200 Microsoft Points. Sorry PS3 owners, this is an exclusive.
