Earlier this month we let you know that Mafia II would be getting delayed from late June to Q4 of this year. Now, 2K Games has said that the game will be getting released this August, hopefully meaning that we won’t be seeing anymore delays. Additionally, 2K let us know that the game will be available to the public this weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo at booth 103.

If you’re attending the expo, definitely stop by and check the game out.

The Penny Arcade Expo has always attracted large crowds (and exhibitors), and the expos on the West coast, held in Seattle, were likewise always sold out. Now the expo is headed East, with PAX East, and according to reports, all but 1,000 of the 60,000 tickets have been sold. PAX has yet to reveal who’ll be attending the show, who will exhibit and who’ll sponsor the event. And yet, it still manages to sell out. Quite a feat.

Think the swine flu is all done with? Check this out — According to Joystiq, it seems that a number of PAX 2009 attendees have confirmed cases of the swine flu.

So folks, if you were in attendance and have flu like symptoms, you may want to head to your doctor. However, the CDC has said you only need to worry if you’re in a high risk group (sickly, elderly or very young) or if your symptoms get severe.

The twelfth Contra game is coming out in the United States in only two days, so we’re all getting excited for some side-scrolling action. Contra ReBirth is much like Contra 4; old school 16-bit action. Remixes of songs from previous titles in the series are also featured in the game.

European and Japanese residents can already grab the title if you’re wondering. ReBirth was developed by M2 exclusively as a WiiWare title.

Dead Rising 2 was absent from E3 due to concerns over the infamous Swine Flu. So, the next logical place it would show up would be PAX, right? Nope, it seems that Dead Rising 2 will in fact be absent from PAX just as it was E3 with its next public showing slated for the Tokyo Game Show set to take place in September.

Joystiq proceeded to contact a Capcom representative for comment but all they got in return was to look out for the game during the Tokyo Game Show. Bummer.

Dead Rising 2 will be out for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC on March 21st, 2010.
