Earlier this month we let you know that Mafia II would be getting delayed from late June to Q4 of this year. Now, 2K Games has said that the game will be getting released this August, hopefully meaning that we won’t be seeing anymore delays. Additionally, 2K let us know that the game will be available to the public this weekend at the Penny Arcade Expo at booth 103.

If you’re attending the expo, definitely stop by and check the game out.

paxlogo1 Those Penny Arcade dudes simply aren’t scared of anything. Following word that the E3 expo would be returning to its former glorious self, many thought rival shows would go away or at least be intimidated.

Not the Penny Arcade guys, though.

"I … can’t imagine it stealing any of our thunder," said company co-founder Mike Krahulik. "We have a ridiculous amount of thunder and honestly if they were to steal some of it we probably wouldn’t even notice."

To further emphasize his point, Gabe extended on the joke. "Just yesterday we accidentally left some of our thunder in our pants and then they went into the washing machine and the thunder got ruined. It wasn’t a big deal to us, though, because we have plenty more thunder."

"E3 has always been and looks like it will continue to be about the industry,” he continued, finally getting serious. “PAX is about the community around games as much as it’s about the games themselves.”
