Many different video game developers have made their mark on the community giving hopeful gamers a chance at grabbing the perfect game for them. However, while many games for traditional platforms are priced at $60 there are many games with a much smaller price tag giving gamers a chance at some great gameplay without breaking the ban. One such developer of these games is PopCap who have popular games like Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle.

While PopCap games have grown to be quite popular it seems that the company may be more valuable than we had originally thought. According to recent reports, EA is planning to purchase the indie game developer for a whopping $1 billion. Of course, at this point these reports remain nothing more than rumors so we’ll have to see how this one pans out.

Many say that mobile platforms will eventually get so popular that dedicated mobile consoles such as the Nintendo 3DS and Sony PSP just won’t be able to compete. While we haven’t seen this put into full effect just yet many different mobile software developers are doing what they can to help this along. PopCap is one developer who has many different titles available for the various mobile platforms including Apple’s iOS which powers the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

One of their more popular games, Plants vs. Zombies, has managed to impress both in terms of gameplay and sales numbers but it doesn’t look as if PopCap is looking to slow up with the game just yet. Just today, PopCap sent out a message via Twitter letting us know that Plants vs. Zombies will be coming to the Android mobile platform at some point in the next couple of months.

Seeing how Android has grown to be one of the most used mobile platforms this is sure to boost sales of the game dramatically. We’ll have to wait and see how things turn on.

After a game is realeased more often times than not members of the community will come forth to create things never even dreamed of by the game’s original developer. One prime example of this is none other than the LittleBigPlanet series which has seen a whole slew of creative levels meant to mimic other things from games to fully functioning computers. Today, a creator by the name of Foggles has come forth to show of their remake of the PopCap’s popular Plants vs Zombies game created entirely with LittleBigPlanet 2′s in-game development tools.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

There have been numerous stories about how much money people have made developing iPhone apps, and here’s another one – Not too long ago we announced that PopCap’s Plants vs. Zombies was available on the App Store. It was a port of a popular PC game of the same name. Well, word has just gotten out that Plants vs. Zombies has netted PopCap an outrageous $1 million worth of revenue.

If you’re a fan of casual PC games you’ve probably heard of Plants vs. Zombies. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a tower defense type game that pits well, Plants against Zombies.

It was released towards the middle of ’09 but has yet to be ported to a portable platform. Luckily, for fans of the game, PopCap has announced that Plants vs. Zombies will be make a leap to the iPhone in late January.

There’s no word on how much it will cost. However, considering PopCap’s other iPhone games like Chuzzle, Peggle and Bookworm cost $1.99 it’d be safe to assume Plants vs. Zombies will too.
