What was once a household name is quickly becoming a forgotten franchise. The last we heard of Star Fox was back in 2006 when he made an appearance in Star Fox Command for the Nintendo DS. Why haven’t we seen a new title? You’d think Nintendo would want to release a heavy hitting title like this giving the Wii another selling point.
Well, Bayonetta‘s developer Hideki Kamiya wants to take the work off of Nintendo and develop the game himself, with the help of Platinum Games, of course.
What do you guys think? Would the same studio that made Bayonetta be able to do Star Fox justice? Let us know in the comments.

The delays these days seem to be nonstop. Today, Sega announced that Bayonetta will be joining those titles and will be pushed back to January 2010.
“Bayonetta is an extremely important new IP for SEGA and adds a new level of depth to our growing portfolio. As a result of market analysis we have taken a Publishing decision that January 2010 is the optimum release time in the Western Markets to maximize this exciting new title’s potential,” said Mike Hayes, President and COO for SEGA West.
If you live in Japan or are planning to import, the game is still scheduled for an October 29th release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
