Prince of Persia fans will be happy to hear that Ubisoft has just released the above trailer for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. Said trailer features some of the developers talking about the game but that’s not the fun part. The fun part are the various clips that give us the first glimpse of gameplay from the game.

I don’t know about you guys but the game is shaping up to be pretty damn good. However, we won’t know for sure until May 18th when it hits store shelves for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii.

It seems that LEGO is gearing up to launch a Prince of Persia themed series of their iconic bricks. This is apparantly a marketing deal that Disney signed with LEGO to promote the movie coming out next April.

Anyways, pictured above is a snapshot of the Prince of Persia LEGO series that was recently shown off during Comic Con and from the looks of it they are exactly what we’d expect; LEGO toys.

If this is your kind of thing expect to see the Prince of Persia LEGO sets hit shelves right around the franchise’s big screen debut.

Ubisoft sent out word that the upcoming “Epilogue” downloadable expansion for Prince of Persia has been delayed beyond its expected Thursday release. It is now set to hit PlayStation Network and Xbox Live on March 5; PC gamers won’t get the expansion.

The DLC will expand the game beyond its original ending, offering a new mission that investigates the newly corrupted Underground Palace. There will also be one new enemy and player attack, and the pack is said to develop the awkward relationship between the Prince and Elika.

It was recently announced that Disney and LEGO have inked a deal that will allow a Prince of Persia LEGO series to be produced.

But what does this mean for us gamers, considering the toys are based on the movie and not the actual game?

Well, if there are toys based on Prince of Persia, this could mean that there is potentially a LEGO Prince of Persia video game in the works.

The upcoming “Epilogue” level pack for Prince of Persia won’t be coming to the PC version of the game, according to an Ubisoft representative.

“Business reasons” were cited for the move, as per this post from Ubisoft community manager Chris Easton on the game’s official forum. He also apologized to PC fans of the game.

Gamers aren’t all too excited about the move either as a couple of fans has already begun organizing a letter-writing campaign.

The game-extending DLC will hit PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 26.

Following in the footsteps of Fallout 3, Ubisoft has announced a new Prince of Persia downloadable pack that will continue the story of the action-adventure game.

Dubbed “Epilogue”, the DLC will “develop the relationship between the Prince and Elika following the end of the game,” according to comments made by producer Jamal Rguigui.

He added that the Underground Palace in the game is “now corrupted and where danger awaits every corner.” The pack will also add one new enemy and player attack to the mix.

The DLC is expected to hit PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 26. No price point was mentioned.

Next month when your girlfriend/fiancee/wife calls in a marker and drags you to “Confessions of a Shopaholic” she’ll be wondering the whole time why you don’t seem quite as miserable as when you normally get dragged to chick-flicks. Assure her it has nothing to do with the film’s star and keep your eyes open, because halfway through the film you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of a poster for one of Jerry Bruckheimer’s upcoming films.

It’s a previously unseen shot of Jake Gyllenhal in full costume as the Prince of Persia in the upcoming 2010 film. It’ll be  in the well-known Times Square region of NYC, likely as one of the ubiquitous billboards. It’s a somewhat odd choice to put this kind of teaser ad in a film that will likely have whatever segment of the gaming population is watching it asleep in their popcorn. Also odd is the idea that someone really concerned with shopping would be spending time in the tourist trap that is times square with the dozens of boutiques downtown and Fifth Avenue nearby.
