With such high definition graphics featured within just about every new title to hit the market it’s no surprise that it takes developers quite some time to push out brand new games. Unfortunately, sometimes this high tech development results in delays that cause developers to push back the release of their latest work. It seems that MotorStorm Apocalypse is the latest game to suffer from this.

Originally planned for release sometime this month, word has it that the new release date for the game is now May 3rd. However, Sony is looking to sooth the pain just a bit by letting us know that a DLC pack will be bundled with new copies of the game dubbed the Premier Pack. Included in this pack are two new vehicles for use within the game that are sure to make you forget that it was ever delayed.

Will you be picking up MotorStorm Apocalypse on May 3rd?

Warhammer 40K has made quite  name for itself starting out first as a board game and then spawning an expansive line up of video games. The latest title to enter the series is Warhammer 40K: Space Marine. This third person action shooter will have gamers controlling, quite obviously, a Space Marine which they will be able to accrue various upgrades for as the game goes on.

Unfortunately we don’t know much about the game and up until now THQ had only said it woul dbe out sometime this summer. Luckily, the company has come forth once again to tell us that Warhammer 40K: Space Marine will be out for the PS3, Xbox 360 & PS3 this August.

Now that we have a solid release window, expect more details to arise quite soon.

Microsoft’s Kinect has managed to pull quite a bit of attention ever since it hit store shelves in November of last year and maintain high sales figures. However, while the technology behind the game controller is quite cool, some may argue that there aren’t any killer games out that utilize the system.

Luckily, one game that many people believe with help the Kinect shine is Rhythm-game Child of Eden which just so happens ot be compatible with Sony’s PlayStation Move as well. If you’re not familiar with this game it basically allows gamers to use their hands to shoot different weapons while progressing through various stages. Don’t understand what I’m talking about? Check out the above video demonstrating some gameplay form E3 – looks amazing.

After checking out the video you’re probably going to wonder when it’s set to hit streets to I’m happy to tell you that Child of Eden was recently announced to be hitting store shelves for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on June 14th of this year.

Every console on the market has their own respective exclusives that help them differentiate themselves from the rest. One hard hitting title that has been exclusive to Sony’s consoles is none other than SOCOM from Zipper Interactive. First appearing on the PlayStation 2, SOCOM has seen many different iterations spanning the PSP and now, the PS3.

Zipper Interactive’s latest title is SOCOM 4 which we’ve heard about many times in the past including its support for the PlayStation Move motion controller. However, while we’ve sene a whole slew of media surrounding the game we’ve yet to hear when the game will be released. Well, thanks to a Wall Street Journal article on the PlayStation Move we now know that SOCOM 4 will hit store shelves in April of this year.

Exactly when in April we aren’t sure but we’ll keep you posted.

Fans of the Dynasty Warriors series will be happy to hear that the latest installment, Dynasty Warriors 7, has just been officially pegged with a March 22nd, 2011 release date for the Xbox 360 and PS3. While March 22 is the North American release date, European gamers will only have to wait until March 25th to get their hands on the game.

Other than the sure-to-be amazing gameplay, some innovative points regarding Dynasty Warriors 7 to make note of is the fact that it comes with support for PlayStation Move and 3D displays.

Sounds pretty good to me. Anyone looking to pick this game up next March?

If you were a fan of the first Batman: Arkham Asylum, you’ll be happy to hear that a sequel to the game is currently in the works. What you won’t be happy to hear, however, is what an industry insider has just told CVG.

Apparently, Warner (the guys behind the game) are pushing Arkham Asylum 2′s release date into 2011. The reason for this is apparantly that Warner wants to avoid some heavy hitting titles currently slated for a pre-holiday release.

A bit scared of Halo: Reach, Warner?

While this rumor seems to have some depth to it, don’t start getting too excited until Nintendo comes forth and actually announces something.

I’m just wondering, how many of you guys are actually planning to get the Nintendo 3DS? Does a 3D handheld gaming device interest you? Let us know in the comments.

crysis2

Our friends over at VG247 have gotten their hands on a document from video game retailer GAME that reportedly says EA‘s Crysis 2 will be dropping on September 24th.

If you’re not familiar with the Crysis franchise, the original game was widely known as one of the most graphic intensive PC games out there. If you have a beast of a computer and haven’t checked it out you definitely should as it’s beautiful.
