Sci-entertainment-logo-thumb SCi Entertainment, the parent company of game publisher Eidos, has announced that it lost $177 million during its fiscal year. That is in comparison to a loss of $24 million during its 2007 fiscal year. The company’s revenues declined to $212 million, down from $230 million in 2007.

The company, despite lower numbers, had an increase in its gross profit, rising to $100 million versus $97 million of the past year.

Company CEO Phil Rogers disclosed that the company cancelled various projects and fired staff to emerge as a “stronger business and over the next year see the results of our restructured and revitalized operation.”

Eidos’ upcoming games include Tomb Raider: Underworld, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Just Cause 2.
