Simple. Gory. Fast paced. Fun. Those were the ingredients of Serious Sam when it was released a good 8 year ago, and it brought back old memories of Quake and Doom. Today though, first person shooters are a lot more complicated and realistic, but luckily, there’s something in store for those just looking for some fun.

Serious Sam HD is the same game as was released years ago, now though, it features HD visuals, and while they’re not gonna stack up against Crysis and Gears of War, they’re still good enough for you to want to revive the Serious Sam shooter. The gameplay is still just as fast, gory and over the top as before, and the improved visuals only make it better. However, on the audio side, there are noticeable shortcomings, the biggest of them is the fact that the game still features the sounds samples from the old game, which sound quite crappy today.
