If perhaps you either don’t want to purchase an Xbox Live Gold account or yours ran out but you are a Modern Warfare 2 fiend, you’re in luck. Activision has just announced that they will be allowing Xbox Live Silver members to try out the game’s online component this weekend.

If you want to get technical about it, the free trial begins on Friday March 12th at 12:00PM EST and ends on Sunday March 14th at 12:00PM EST. Watch out though, if you’ve never played Modern Warfare 2 online it’s going to be hard to stop after the weekend.

For those of you who actually pay for Xbox Live got access to the Left 4 Dead 2 demo earlier this month but Silver members were left in the dark. Luckily, the demo has been unlocked today for Silver members and is available for download at your leisure.

Of course, if you just want the real game you’ll have to wait until November 17th, wait, that’s tomorrow, did you get your pre-order in?

Nintendo has announced that they will be adding another color to their Nintendo DS lineup next week. Sporting the Lite design, of course, the Silver DS will be released in North America next week on September 7th.

Then again, who doesn’t already have a DS?
