The Nintendo 3DS‘ March 22nd North American launch is just over the corner with gamers everywhere highly anticipating the glasses-free 3D display touting handheld. While previous console launches have skimped on launch titles, Nintendo is pulling out all the stops with the 3DS. One of the biggest launch titles for the 3DS is none other than Capcom’s Street Fighter IV 3D. If you couldn’t tell by the title, this game is a port of the SF4 we’ve all come to know and love with built-in 3D functionality.
While we don’t ahve any new information to tell you about the game tha twe havne’t already told you, Nintendo has released a commercial for the game today which you can check out above. This commercial does a nice job showing off classic Street Fighter gameplay while putting an emphasis on the 3D capabilities of the 3DS.
Check it out and tell us what you think about SF43D and the Nintendo 3DS.
Amazon has been known to throw us some pretty heft deals with bountiful savings. Today is no different as the online mega-retailer has posted a whole slew of deals that focus mainly on video game accessories.
In leui of the forthcoming Super Street Fighter IV launch, Capcom will be discounting the iPhone version of Street Fighter IV from $9.99 to $6.99. Normally, I’d brush this off as just another overpriced iPhone app but the iPhone version of Street Fighter IV stays so true to its console counterpart its ridiculous.
I’ve already bought it at the $9.99 price point, unfortunately, but will you be picking it up at its new lower price?
If you even remotely follow the competitive Street Fighter scene you undoubtedly know Daigo, the 28 year old guy who is regarded by many as the best Street Fighter player in the world. Well, it seems that he will be teaming up with Mad Catz to promote their critically acclaimed FightStick controllers.
Daigo will be using the controllers at every tournament he attends in addition to urging attendees to check the sticks out.
Now, I have tos ay I’ve had some problems with Mad Catz peripherals in the past but they have really turned themsevles around and these night FightSticks really lets that shine through.
While Street Fighter IV for the iPhone stays pretty true to its console counterpart one of the things that it is missing (other than physical controls) is all of the characters.
Well, that gap is going to get a bit smaller as Capcom has just announced that Cammy will be getting put into the game thanks to a free future update.
Street Fighter IV is undoubtedly one of my favorite fighting games of all time but currently it’s only on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. If I wanted to leave my house and play the game on the go, there was no option. Luckily for people like me who do want to get their SF4 fix on the go, Capcom has recently announced that they will be porting the game to the iPhone.
Included above is a trailer for the game supplied to us by GamePro which shows a quick match between Ryu and Ken. I can’t tell without playing it if the virtual stick actual works good but from the looks of the video it definitely seems usable.
Street Fighter IV for the iPhone will run you around $10 whenever it hits.
One of the most disappointing things I encountered with Street Fighter IV was the fact that it didn’t feature the beloved car smashing bonus level. Well, with the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV gamers yet again had some car bashing fun to look foward to, if the game was to include it, that is.
Today we have confirmation that the bonus level will infact be included in the new title with the above screen shot showing it off.
Super Street Fighter IV will be out for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 23rd, 2010.
Microsoft is proud to announce that 3 of their console’s greatest titles are going to get the Platinum Hits treatment, and I’m sure you’d agree with their decision.
Those titles in question are none other than Street Fighter IV, Left 4 Dead and Grand Theft Auto IV in addition to Saints Row 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
With the Platinum Hits comes lowered prices with Joystiq reporting they will be lowered to right around $29.99.
Yesterday Capcom officially announced Super Street Fighter IV, a retake on the popular fighter Street Fighter IV with additional characters, and today they have released the first trailer for the game.
Unfortunately, the trailer is just a teaser and doesn’t feature any new game play or mention of the 8 new characters. However, it does feature Ken and Ryu kicking the crap out of each other in a cinematic styled similar to the one found at the beginning of Street Fighter IV.
Want more info? You’re going to have to wait until Super Street Fighter IV‘s spring 2010 release date draws closer.
Capcom has today launched an all new Street Fighter IV teaser website that shows off the fact that they will be introducing a “new warrior” to the game on Tuesday, September 29th at 5PM in Japan.
Of course, as of right now we have nothing more than whats featured on the teaser website which is just a small video including the screenshot shown above. We’re going to assume that this “new warrior” is an all new Street Fighter character to be offered through Xbox Live, the PSN and through Capcom’s official website for the PC.
We’ll keep you posted as more information is made known.
