Street Fighter is without a doubt one of the most well known fighting franchises on the market today. Developed by Capcom, the franchise has made its way onto a whole slew of different consoles. The most recent release, Street Fighter IV, has actually seen two iterations – one being the normal version and one being Super Street Figther IV which has some new content including characters and moves.
However, there is also another version of the game dubbed Super Street Fighter IV Arcade which adds even more content including Evil Ryu, Oni, Yun and Yang alongside some other gameplay tweaks. Originally, Capcom said the game would never be coming to consoles but it seems that they will be refuting that claim in the near future.
The reason we say this is because a trailer for the Capcom Captivate has just leaked which shows that the content featured within the Arcade edition. No release date for the DLC pack was released but rumor has it that it will be coming sometime in June.
Check out the leaked trailer after the break.

While there are legions of gamers who swear by their hardcore first person shooters including Call of Duty and Halo, there is a highly dedicated community mashing buttons, accruing carpal tunnel and kicking ass in the various fighting games. Leading th pack are franchises like Street Fighter and Tekken. While Tekken 6 is the latest installment of the Tekken series, Street Figher has amassed not one, but 3 different versions of the latest Street Fighter IV.
Released here in the US on April 27th, 2010 Super Street Fighter IV expanded on the original title adding a whole slew of new characters, extra moves and a boat load of new maps. However, past that, is Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition. This new and improved title includes Street Fighter III characters Yun and Yang in addition to Evil Ryu and Oni as secret bosses. Of course, Capcom also was nice enough to throw in some new EX moves.
Unfortunately, if you were thinking you’d be able to get your hands on the game outside of an arcade it seems that you’re going to be disappointed. Super Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono recently sat down with Japanese gaming mag Famitsu to say that there are no plans to port to game to home consoles. This is quite unfortunate for hardcore Street Fighter Fans who don’t have access to an arcade.
Perhaps this will change in the future – we’ll keep you posted.

When Super Street Fighter IV first got announced way back when I was a bit skeptical about the title — A new Street Fighter IV with characters that seemingly should have been nothing more than DLC? No thanks. However, after actually getting my hands on the game and seeing the immense amount of updates and tweaks Capcom had included along with the new characters, my views changed drastically.
And apparantly, I’m not the only one who thinks like this as Capcom has just announced that they have already shipped 1 Million Super Street Fighter IV units to retail. To put that into perspective, according to Capcom, the Street Fighter franchise has sold 28 million console units worldwide as of March 31st and this isn’t even including the SSFIV numbers I detailed above.
Pretty ridiculous.

In leui of the forthcoming Super Street Fighter IV launch, Capcom will be discounting the iPhone version of Street Fighter IV from $9.99 to $6.99. Normally, I’d brush this off as just another overpriced iPhone app but the iPhone version of Street Fighter IV stays so true to its console counterpart its ridiculous.
I’ve already bought it at the $9.99 price point, unfortunately, but will you be picking it up at its new lower price?

Capcom is including a very unique feature with their latest title, Super Street Fighter IV. That feature is the Tournament Mode DLC pack which will be made available free of charge on May 15th.
Now, the game is set to drop for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on April 27th but when the Tournament Mode DLC pack is made available, you will be able to host a tournament with up to 8 players through Xbox Live or the Playstation Network.
This should definitely be good for the game considering video game leagues like Major League Gaming went the Tekken route instead of Street Fighter. Perhaps this will change their mind.

One of Capcom‘s most highly anticipated titles coming out in the near future is Super Street Fighter IV. However, it seems that the developer has another title in the works that none of us have heard about yet. News came to us from Capcom’s John Diamonon who wrote on the PlayStation Blog:
“Oh, one other thing. I’ll be back in April for a huge announcement. Stay tuned and let the speculation begin!”
What possibly could this be? Marvel vs Capcom 3? Maybe an all new IP? Who knows.

In September of last year Capcom unveiled the latest addition to the Street Fighter franchise; Super Street Fighter IV. At the time of the announcement the only release window we were told was Spring of 2010. Now, Capcom has finally come forth to let us know that the game will be made available for all on April 27th.
Additionally, Capcom also slipped in the news that Lost Planet 2 will be dropping on May 18th.
Which will you guys be picking up?

If you’ve been following Capcom for a while, you may have heard that they previously held an event in New York called the Fight Club. The event pitted competitors against each other in a wide array of games such as Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom and Super Street Fighter 4.
Why does this matter? Because Capcom will be holding a similar event early next year, but this time in Las Vegas. And considering they streamed said event on UStream

One of the most disappointing things I encountered with Street Fighter IV was the fact that it didn’t feature the beloved car smashing bonus level. Well, with the announcement of Super Street Fighter IV gamers yet again had some car bashing fun to look foward to, if the game was to include it, that is.
Today we have confirmation that the bonus level will infact be included in the new title with the above screen shot showing it off.
Super Street Fighter IV will be out for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 23rd, 2010.

We already know that Super Street Fighter IV is on its way but we don’t know much about the game’s story line. Today, Capcom‘s Seth Killian sat down with Kotaku to speak about the game’s final boss; Seth.
If you’re played Street Fighter IV on the harder difficulties you’ll know that Seth is no walk in the park, utilizing just about every cheap move in the book. Well, according to Mr. Killian, the Seth in Super Street Fighter IV “will be even cheaper and more irritating”.
Luckily, all of the new characters will be unlocked out of the box so you won’t be fighting Seth over and over again like in the previous title.
