All the way back in July, we let you know that a Tatsunoko vs Capcom branded Fight Stick from Mad Catz was on its way at some point in the future. Well, only just know it has been announced tat the Fight Stick is officially for pre-order with a price tag of $79.99.

Compared the Mad Catz’ other Fight Stick offerings, the Tatsunoko vs Capcom’s price tag isn’t so stellar. However with a lower price tag most likely comes lowere quality parts but we won’t talk badly about the controller until we actually get our hands on it.

Of course, since Tatsunoko vs Capcom is only out for the Wii, there will only be a Wii version of the controller released.

Capcom
has come forth today to speak of their forthcoming Wii title Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars. They aren’t giving us any gameplay details but instead a glimpse of one of the game’s new characters.

According to GameSpot, this new character goes by the name of Tekkaman Blade and can be seen giving Ryu a slash attack in the above screen shot.

Capcom’s Tatsunoko vs Capcom will be out for the Nintendo Wii on December 1st, 2009.

After the success of MadCatz‘ Street Figher IV Fight Stick they have been hard at work producing just about every kind of arcade stick you could shake a stick at (ha..ha).

Anyways, today at Comic-Con they had the above controller on display, a Tatsunoko vs Capcom themed Fight Stick. Sure, it may have the same hardware as the Street Fighter IV Fight Stick (you know, the one that was notorious for breaking) with some Tatsunoko vs Capcom artwork slapped on top. But it’s the novelty that counts, right?

No word on pricing or availability but considering Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars is expected to drop for the Wii towards the end of this year, you can probably expect it then.

Speaking with VideoGamer, producer Ryota Niitsuma revealed that Capcom has no plans in bringing Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars to the Xbox 360 or PS3. However, a sequel is possible if the game performs well in the western market.

“…the game is optimized for the Wii system, especially the graphics features,” Niitsuma explained. “So if we were to port it to PS3 or Xbox 360 we would have to make the game from scratch, and in that case we might as well just make a sequel of the series on those consoles rather than porting it.”

Tatsuonoko vs. Capcom has been out in Japan since December, but will be reaching North American shores this winter for the Wii. As for Europe, no release date has been given.

Capcom has gone and announced that the rumored Tatsunoko vs Capcom Wii release is in fact official and that it will be playable at next month’s E3:

The game that many thought would never make it to North America is actually in the works and will be at E3 for all of you lucky Unity members to get your hands on.

If you are unaware what Tatsunoko vs Capcom is, it is similar to Marvel vs Capcom except instead of Marvel characters duking it out with the likes of Ryu and gang there are Tatsunoko characters.

What is Tatsunoko you say? Well that’s what Wikipedia is for, of course.
