Back in April of last year was when we first heard of Fallout: New Vegas — a game originally thought to have been a standalone expansion for the critically acclaimed Fallout 3. Well, here we are almost a year later with a teaser trailer of the game. Unfortunataly, due to the fact that it is a teaser, there is no actual gameplay footage or anything of the sort. However, there is some good nitty gritty sceneray shots along with a shot of what is assumed to be the game’s main character.
Bethesda tells us Fallout: New Vegas will be in stores sometime this fall.
The Command & Conquer franchise has been around since 1995 spanning a wide array of different platforms. However, it seems that the developers are going in a different direction with the game in 2010. The official website has been updated with several teaser images like the ones included above with the note, “Early 2010 will also bring you a new medium never created for the C&C franchise before, until now.”
What exactly will this new medium be? Well, judging by the teaser images we’re going to have to point to either a graphic novel or full fledged novel.
If you weren’t aware Visceral Games is hard at work on Dead Space 2 and expects the game to be released at some point in 2010. However, despite it launching next year the studio has yet to release any kind of media relating to the game.
Today, the game’s official Twitter gives us a glimpse at the above teaser image release for Dead Space 2. You’re probably looking at it and thinking to yourself, “What the hell is that?”. Well, nothing is confirmed but if you look closely at the inkblot you’ll notice several silhouttes of Necromorphs, the baddies from the first game.
We’ll have to wait until the online community further dissects this image to pass final judgment on its meaning.
Geoff Keighley recently let us know via Twitter that a game based on the forthcoming TRON movie is set to be revealed at this year’s Video Game Awards which are set to go down December 12th at 8PM on Spike TV. Featured above is a short teaser trailer preparing us for the unveiling of said game but don’t get too excited as little to no actual footage is featured in said teaser.
Will this game be able to prove itself or will it just be another failed movie-to-game creation? Only time will tell.
Capcom has today launched an all new Street Fighter IV teaser website that shows off the fact that they will be introducing a “new warrior” to the game on Tuesday, September 29th at 5PM in Japan.
Of course, as of right now we have nothing more than whats featured on the teaser website which is just a small video including the screenshot shown above. We’re going to assume that this “new warrior” is an all new Street Fighter character to be offered through Xbox Live, the PSN and through Capcom’s official website for the PC.
We’ll keep you posted as more information is made known.
A new teaser trailer for EA’s upcoming Need for Speed: Shift has surfaced, featuring the Formula D and D1 Grand Prix racer Vaughn Gittin Jr.
Need for Speed: Shift will be out in stores September 17th in Europe, the 18th in the United Kingdom, and the 22nd in North America. Check out the track list and car roster listed back in May here.
2K Sports has unveiled a new teaser trailer for their upcoming hockey game NHL 2K10. The video doesn’t show much, just left winger Alexander Ovechkin getting floored and making an unbelievable goal.
Improvements from the last installment include new gameplay mechanics, enhanced online modes, and co-op play. NHL 2K10 will be released on September 15th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and Wii.
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con has launched, and with it comes loads of trailers. Today we bring you a LEGO Rock Band teaser, complete with ridiculous puns like “Build Your Band”. No gameplay footage was available, so I still won’t be able to know if the frets are going to be LEGO blocks.
The details for the game are quite odd, giving players the ability to “destroy giant robots with killer riffs”. If you’re looking for a true Rock Band title, this probably won’t be your cup of tea; most of the tracks are geared for a younger audience.
LEGO Rock Band is scheduled for a November 30th release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS.
Sega has revealed a new teaser website, showcasing an upcoming mystery game. The site’s title is simply “Jackpot” and shows a container filled with lottery-esque balls. Pulling the lever lets a few of the balls go, which represent a timer for when the formal announcement for the game will come out.
There’s no telling what the game could be, but seeing the teaser site’s theme, one can assume that it will most probably be a sequel to Sega Casino for the Nintendo DS. But who knows, it could even be the return of the Dreamcast for all we know.
We first learned earlier this month that Infinity Ward would be releasing a trailer full of actual Modern Warfare 2 gameplay on May 24th. Well, they have released another teaser trailer again confirming the actual trailer’s existence; it will be aired on TNT during the NBA Eastern Conference Finals which start at 5:30ET.
In leui of the announcement, they have also launched the game’s official website at www.modernwarfare2.com. So, your best bet is to view the above teaser, squawk at the visuals and tune into TNT this Sunday the 24th at 5:30 because there is no telling when the Modern Warfare 2 trailer will actually debut.
