New downloadable content is available for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 today, featuring the golf course Banff Springs. If it so happens that you have the Wii version of the game (complete with Motion Plus), you don’t have to worry about buying the DLC since you already have it. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, however, did not include this course on the retail disc.

So, if you really want the golf course, you’ll have to dish out 600 Microsoft Points, or $7.50 on the PlayStation Network. It’s not too bad of a price, considering it’s the same price for every map, but it’s the thought that Wii owners don’t have to waste a dime for extra content because it’s already available to them.

The NPD Group have released the sales figures for the month of June today.

The DS is currently holding the top spot in hardware sales, with its home console counterpart trailing behind. Amazingly, the PlayStation 2 is still almost selling as much as the PlayStation Portable. The price is obviously a big factor in consumer decisions, with the failing economy and other circumstances.

As for software, Prototype debuted and sold over 400,000 copies, topping the charts. Many sports titles follow the sandbox action game, including Tiger Woods PGA Tour and Fight Night Round 4.

Hardware:

  1. Nintendo DS 766.5K
  2. Wii 361.7K

  5. PSP 163.5K

It seems that late night talk show host, Jimmy Fallon, has challenged Tiger Woods to a friendly game of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Wii. Of course, the athelete accepted and the match will go down this Thursday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Sure, it will be fun to see Jimmy Fallon play Tiger Woods at his own game but it will be even more fun to just watch Tiger Woods actually playing his own game. I wonder if he’s good.

Joystiq has recently gotten their hands on a flyer released by Target that clearly shows you will recieve Target Gift Cards when you purchase some of their products.

First of all, if you purchase both Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, which comes bundled with MotionPlus, along with Grand Slam Tennis you will be greeted with a $20 gift card. Alternatively, if you purchase Guitar Hero Smash Hits for any console you will be given a $5 gift card.

Sure, it’s not much considering you have to spend upwards of $110 to get $20 back or $50 to get $5 but it is a discount of sorts.
