There are many different hard hitting video game franchise on the market but it’s hard to come across one like Call of Duty. Time and time again Call of Duty releases have managed to sell like hot cakes surpassing milestones, smashing goals and netting Activision quite the chunk of change. In fact, if you remember not too long ago we told you that Black Ops had become the PS3′s best selling game of all time but today the game has surpassed a much more impressive goal.
According to recent reports, Call of Duty: Black Ops is now the best selling US video game of all time. These reports come from NDP analyst Anita Frazier who says that since being released in November, Black Ops has surpassed Nintendo’s Wii Play to become the best selling video game ion US history. Unfortunately, we don’t have concrete details to go along with that but since October of last year Wii Play has sold 13 million units – make your judgements from there.

In the real time strategy genre there are quite a few titles that stand out above the rest. However, on a global scale Blizzard’s StarCraft undoubtedly takes the cake. Their most recent release, StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty is no different with sales numbers to prove it.
While there has been no official word of a release date for the inevitable expansion, Blizzard is giving US StarCraft 2 players a pleasant surprise this morning. The game developer has announced that the United States is now a public test region and will be allowed to participate in patch beta tests. If you’re a World of Warcraft player you’re undoubtedly familiar with the public test realms that give players a sneak peak and what’s to come.
While the public beta test roll out is quite widespread, there are some restrictions in place. According to the FAQ: “players must have an active StarCraft 2 North America game account created before November 11, 2010. The player’s account must not be a guest pass account, suspended, or banned.”
So, who’s pumped for some StarCraft 2 beta testing?

Atlus has recently secured the publishing rights for Kenka Bancho 3, a PSP title that follows a high school student in Japan brawling with, well, everything. Sounds great, right?
It is, but Atlus doesn’t know what to name the US version of the game and has looked to the community for help. The publisher has set up a website, here, that will let visitors choose what they want to game
Of course, it’s only a survery so the chance that you’ll directly influence the game’s US name are slim.

If you thought $119.99 for the US DJ Hero was a lot of money and are located in the UK, cover your ears eyes. Activision has apparantly told UK retailers, ShopTo in particular, that the MSRP of DJ Hero is £107.99 or about $178.
Of course you’re not just getting the game disc but also the turntable controller which ThatVideoGameBlog reports has no gold in it, unfortunately.
