By now, you should know that it’s possible to create virtually anything in Minecraft, no scratch that, it’s possible to create everything in Minecraft. Including re-creating Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
The project is called “Hyrulecraft”, and its goal is to recreate the entire world of Zelda: Ocarina of Time inside of Minecraft, complete with NPCs, dungeons, etc. Fore more details on Hyrulecraft and how to play it, check out this run down by GenGame.
If you’re going to get a lower back tattoo, also known as a tramp stamp, you might as well do it properly. Like the female in the picture above, sporting what is arguably the best Zelda tattoo ever. Also, those pants make no sense. Also also: If you’re interested in knowing who the girl is, she verified the picture on Reddit.
The Nintendo 3DS is finally available on the market after quite some time of anticipation. However, seeing how the console has only just been released it’s going to be some time before there is a vibrant game library to support the console. Luckily, Nintendo has some exclusives planned for the near future including an Ocarina of Time remake and even a Super Mario Bros 3DS title. However, it seems that Shigeru Miyamoto wasn’t hoping for an Ocarina of Time remake above all else but instead a remake of an older Zelda title – one I’m sure that quite a few of you are very familiar with.
Miyamoto recently went on record as saying the following when asked what he’d like to see remade:
“I think A Link To The Past.“
I don’t know about you but I grew up on A Link To The Past on the SNES and still regard it as one of my favorite games of all time. Seeing it remade on the Nintendo 3DS would be nothing short of a dream come true.
As you’re sure to know the Nintendo 3DS has been out for quite some time with consumers everywhere applauding the device for its glasses-free 3D display and other interesting features. However, while the console itself shipped with a decent line up of games there aren’t any really hard hitting first party titles straight out of Nintendo. Luckily, we’ve known for quite some time that Nintendo would be going to release Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the Nintendo 3DS at some point in the future. If you couldn’t already tell, the game is a 3D remake of the N64 Zelda title with the same name which makes it easy to see why consumers are getting so excited over the title.
Well, it was announced today that Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D will be made available in the US on June 19th.
Zelda is one of the most well known video game franchises on the market. Of the franchise, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the N64 is without a doubt one of the more popular entries. Due to this continued popularity, Nintendo will go on to port the game from the N64 to their brand new Nintendo 3DS handheld with a release slated for sometime this June.
In terms of new content, it’s already been noted that the game will include the Master Quest with nothing further being announced. However, it seems that we were wrong to assume that this is all Nintendo will be adding as the company’s Satoru Iwata has said the following:
“Of course, the Nintendo 3DS version of Ocarina of Time is crammed with interesting things that weren’t in the Nintendo 64 version.. but we’ll wait to talk about those [closer to] the release.”
So, what kind of content is Iwata talking about? We aren’t quite sure but knowing Nintendo it won’t be too much to ruin the classic but just enough to give returning gamers a whole new experience.
As we’ve told you many times in the past Nintendo has their fare share of hard hitting exclusives – one of them being the Zelda franchise. Originally launching during the days of the NES, Zelda has made it onto just about every one of Nintendo’s consoles and is ready to make the jump to 3D, as well.
Of course, the Nintendo 3DS title won’t be a completely new game instead a 3D port of the ever-so-popular N64 title The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. However, there is something that you should know regarding the release if you’ve only played the original version of Ocarina of Time for the N64.
The Nintendo 3DS version will also include the Master Quest version of the game which increases the level of difficulty associated with some dungeons along with adding some new game content – all in 3D.
Sounds good to us, anyone grabbing a Nintendo 3DS?
A reader sent in this awesome box art of the Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda game, called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. This is not the official art, but rather, a fan art composed of several artworks Nintendo has released (we’re still trying to figure out who the artist is). If you ask us, it might as well be the official box art.
We were a bit disappointed about the new Zelda game, but as popular message board 4chan shows above, there’s another take on that. An honestly, they’re right. Larger view here.
Nintendo’s head of everything Zelda, Eiji Aonuma, said in a recent interview that he “hopes to show something playable at E3″ this year. He didn’t mention how far in development the game was, only that it’s progressing fine. Well, we for one would like to see some Zelda action at E3, and we’re pretty sure everyone else wants too as well.
The new year is upon us which means a whole slew of big titles are going to hit store shelves. One title in particular I’m looking forward to is a Zelda one. I don’t know about you guys but Zelda is one of the main reasons I bought a Wii in the first place. Previously there was no word on when a new major release would hit but Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has let us know today that it will be this year.
There were no details regarding the contents of said game but come E3 I’m sure we’re going to be a lot more familiar with it.
